Common site sizes

A 10-user Jira site stays free. Once a site has 11 or more Jira users, the whole site is billed on the applicable Marketplace tier — not only the users above 10.

Straight answers on price

Is it really free for small teams?

Yes. Jira sites with 10 users or fewer get the full product with no time limit and no card. Once the site has 11 or more Jira users, the whole site moves to the first paid tier; only the 10-user site tier is free.

Why is it priced per Jira user when only a few people will share?

Atlassian bills every Jira Cloud app on the user tier of the Jira site, the same way it bills Jira itself. Apps cannot charge per active sharer. The per-user rate steps down as the site grows, from $1.50 to $0.10, so a 100-user site pays $150 a month whether two people share or fifty.

Do my partners cost anything?

They are not billed separately. You pay only for your own Jira user tier, however many partner organizations or partner-side portal users you invite. Partner-side users do not need Jira seats.

We are the receiving side, an agency or vendor. Do we pay?

Receiving is included in the sharing site’s license. If your own Jira site also shares its work items to partners, that site is licensed on its own user tier like any other.

How does the free trial work?

Every Jira site gets 30 days free when you install from the Marketplace; the trial starts automatically. Atlassian handles billing after the trial through your existing Jira payment method, and you can cancel from Jira under Manage apps at any time.

Is there an annual discount?

Yes. Annual subscriptions are priced at ten months for twelve, which is the standard Marketplace discount. The examples above show both.

How am I billed?

Atlassian bills Collabound together with your Jira subscription on the same invoice and payment method. There is no separate Collabound account or contract.
